The Smart Money Club was created by Amber Marie Holmes so that members can gain access to a knowledge base of personal finance advice. Members of the Smart Money Club are interested in increasing their knowledge and awareness of the issues surrounding personal finance, especially in regards to debt, investing, mortgages, real estate, banking, financial management, and any issues that students and professionals need to know.

The members have the advice of professors, peers, and professionals interested in helping people. The Smart Money Club brings in associates or lecturers in the finance industry, which includes bankers, financial advisors, investment managers, CEO's, stockbrokers, real estate brokers, and other finance industry professionals that are interested in sharing their knowledge and resources with the Smart Money Club.
